I use wood and bone for form, and herbs, spices, and ground vegetables for color.
My art is primitive and visceral, yet it possesses the beauty reflected in the photos on this site.
My works portray whimsical beings imbued with humanoid traits, the sort of creatures
our ancestors worshipped in the distant past. The goal is to meet ancient archetypes,
to visit a period in prehistory when the religious impulse was spiritual in nature and
separate from politics, money, and other familiar depravities. At the same time,
my pieces are expressly contemporary creations bearing a modern sense of style.
My materials, techniques, and themes are a bit unconventional, and I think a short video
is the best way to present them. I would be grateful if you could spare a moment of your time
and click the links below. Thank you.
